Just Pilates Body Conditioning offers private and semiprivate lessons, using Gratz Pilates Apparatus and mat exercise. The equipment is solid and runs smoothly, its proportions help to protect the body by preventing motions that move the arms and legs out of the joint (away from the core), and thereby reinforcing the powerhouse as the center of strength. Equipment includes the Universal Reformer, Tower Units, the Cadillac, the Wunda Chair, Large and Small Ladder Barrels and the Pedi-Pull. In addition, small props can be used to intensify the workout, including Magic Circles, Stability Balls, Bosu Ball, Hand Weights, Cylinder Barrels and more. This variety gives our clients an edge in getting a truly diverse Pilates workout.
Pilates is an ingenious way to get the most effective workout in the shortest amount of time. Every workout is comprised of detailed instruction, and uniquely challenges all muscles groups synergistically. Pilates is especially beneficial for those who suffer from back pain. Since it is core-focused, it tones inner thighs, lower back, glutes and abs like nothing else, at the same time relieving back pain and misalignment issues, (i.e., rounded shoulders, rolling in or out with the feet, etc.) Additionally, Pilates will increase spine length, flexibility and joint mobility. For athletes, this means a longer life span for joints, muscles and spin, which is crucial to participation in any sport.
